Le Portrait de Madame Cézanne
Celebrating 150 years since the birth of Impressionism, the exhibition Cézanne / Renoir juxtaposes the works and journey of two masters of the movement, Paul Cézanne and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
Sponsored by the Municipality of Milan - Culture and produced by Palazzo Reale di Milano, Musée d'Orsay, Musée de l'Orangerie, and Skira Arte, the exhibition provided myself and fellow artists from the Garance & Marion gallery with the opportunity to reinterpret the works of these two great Impressionist artists, showcasing them at the Palazzo Reale bookshop.
I chose to revisit a work by Cézanne, "The Portrait of Madame Cézanne", using my pastels and pencils.
