It represents the work of the "Ice Bank" team from Università di Milano-Bicocca, engaged in glacier drilling, with a particular focus on the Adamello Glacier.

The ADA270 project aims to reconstruct the climatic conditions of the central Alps through the drilling of the Adamello Glacier.

The ice core depicted symbolizes the samples extracted from glaciers, which provide crucial information about the climatic evolution of these environments over centuries. Each layer of the ice core contains traces of gases, particles, and isotopes, allowing the analysis of various historical periods, from ancient climate changes to more recent variations. This offers an important window into the history of our planet.
