Studies of human figures
Studies developed in the Artistic Anatomy course, taught by Professor Annalisa Tornabene at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
I had the opportunity to develop the same type of studies at the IED (European Institute of Design) in Milan, from 2009 to 2012.
It is possible to identify the two different time periods because during the studies from 2009 to 2012, I used colors and brown papers, while during further exploration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, I shifted to shades of gray and white sheets. This change was influenced by the impact that the works of Marlene Dumas had on me after visiting her solo exhibition at Palazzo Grassi in Venice.
Acrylic and pastels on paper.
